Limited 5-Year Consumer Warranty

This 5-Year (“Warranty Term”) limited consumer warranty applies to Marantz product purchases made from authorized Marantz dealers.  Warranty coverage extends to the original owner only for original product purchases, and the warranty is not transferable.  Except as specified below, this limited warranty covers parts and labor to correct defects in materials and workmanship during the Warranty Term. The following are not covered by the warranty:

• Damage, deterioration, malfunction or failure to meet performance specifications resulting from:
  
  • Accident, acts of nature, misuse, abuse, neglect or unauthorized product modification.
  • Improper installation, removal or maintenance, or failure to follow instructions supplied with the
  • Repair or attempted repair by anyone not authorized by Marantz to repair the product.
  • Any shipment of the product (claims must be presented to the carrier).
  • Any cause other than a product
• Cleaning, initial set-up, check-ups with no defects found, or charges incurred for installation, removal or reinstallation of the
• Any product on which the serial number has been defaced, modified or removed.
• Batteries.
• Accessories, including but not limited to, batteries, cables, mounting hardware and brackets, cleaning accessories, antenna and detachable power cords.
• Warranty is void if purchase was made from anyone other than an authorized Marantz dealer.

Who may enforce the warranty

This warranty extends only to the original purchaser, not subsequent owners.

How you can get service

• If your unit needs service, contact D&M Holdings, Inc (“Marantz”) customer service by calling 1-800-654-6633. We will advise you of the name and location of one or more authorized Marantz service stations from which service can be obtained. Please do not return your unit to the factory without prior authorization.
• Marantz will pay for two-way shipping of products to and from a service center when the product is located within the United States or its territories. However, when a product is determined to have failed due to circumstances outside of warranty coverage, or when no fault is found, return shipping cost is the responsibility of the product owner.

Limitation of implied warranties

All implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are limited in duration to the length of this warranty and are limited in scope to the terms contained in this warranty. All other warranties are hereby disclaimed.

Exclusion of damages

Marantz’s liability for any defective product is limited to repair or replacement of the product at Marantz’s option. Marantz shall not be liable for damage to other products caused by any defects in Marantz products. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO EXPRESS WARRANTY, IMPLIED WARRANTY, WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND WARRANTY OF NON-INFRINGEMENT OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ARE EXPRESSLY EXCLUDED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AND MARANTZ NEITHER ASSUMES NOR AUTHORIZES ANY PERSON OR ENTITY TO ASSUME FOR IT ANY DUTY, OBLIGATION OR LIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH ITS PRODUCTS.  MARANTZ HEREBY DISCLAIMS AND HAS ABSOLUTELY NO LIABILITY FOR ANY AND ALL ACTS OF THIRD PARTIES.  THE MAXIMUM RECOVERY UNDER ANY CLAIM AGAINST MARANTZ SHALL BE STRICTLY LIMITED TO THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT.  MARANTZ SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, DAMAGES FOR INCONVENIENCE, THE LOSS OF TIME OR USE, LOSS OF EARNINGS, COMMERCIAL LOSS, LOSS OF ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY, OR THE LIKE.

How state law relates to the warranty

Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts and/or do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
